Coronavirus is the buzzword
We are making history in our current state of global pandemic. If you’ve been living under a rock, COVID-19 is a disease that affects the respiratory cells. More specifically, SARS-CoV-2 is the virus that enters the respiratory cells, replicates, and proliferates throughout the lungs, causing pneumonia. We won’t get too deep in the science, but let’s talk about what’s happening outside and what this means for electrical contractors.
It seems like the twilight zone out there. Many countries and counties have implemented various forms of lockdown. Many Americans and our global neighbors are staying in and working from home.

As electricians or anyone part of the electrical industry, we have a job to serve and protect the public just as much as healthcare providers and police officers. We play an important role in the US Critical Energy Infrastructure. We have to keep the power going while the rest of the country isolates themselves. But with many manufacturers’ supplies coming from China and our supply chain a little disconnected, where can we get supplies?
Fortunately, there are many local electrical suppliers and distributors throughout the US. One of them is RESA Power – they have technicians and product experts that continue to be committed to helping electrical contractors with challenges and crucial facility needs. RESA has local technicians that cover the US and the western region of Canada. They can provide service, and maintenance from team members that already live in the community.

If your facility is shut down due to the virus, RESA can still work with you to keep your facility in compliance and safe. Now is a great time for RESA to provide any needed maintenance and equipment to prevent any additional downtime later in the year when the threat has passed. RESA emergency services have not been affected by COVID-19. If you are in need of immediate service or restoration of power breakers, transformers or switchgear (low and medium voltage), call 800.576.RESA (7372).
Relectric – a RESA Power Company – is also dedicated to providing you with molded case circuit breakers, electrical switches, busway systems, and more. They will also remain open and ready to ship.
